re: battle of the coral sea -- carl The two countries share a very close bond, and it speaks volumes to me that though Australia has sent some of it's best guy's over to Iraq for support, there has been no attempt to target the aussies. In my opinion, as long as Australia abides by it's own principles and refuses to be coerced into actions that it knows are wrong, then she should be right. There is one such hiccup going on now Carl, and I view it as dangerously close to steering the US away from the priciples for which it stands. The reasons for this are yet unclear, all I know is that there has been alot of sculduggery involved, and it better get set right soon, if it is not too late already. If one really considers the motto of America -- truth and justice -- and neither is apparently part of the current government, then you have to examine the motives of the people within that administration, and why there is a total lack of both those virtues. The deviant acts that have recently been brought to light seem strangely symbolic of another country. As Kerry admits to, shiite happens in war and there have always been horrible things commited, but this just doesn't seem American somehow. I am aware that the US has been mistakenly relying on Isreal for alot of it's intelligence and tactics, this is a fact born out by the massive amount of experience that the Isreali's have in fighting urban warfare, whereas the US has none. Like I say, facts are hard to come by, but something just ain't right and I can't help but reach certain conclusions.
