Does misogyny have to enshrine patriarchy and therefore extend to mothers and daughters? It's a central theme of the feminist movement, but it strikes me that people like Merle Thornton had a pretty good fella in Neil as her husband, enabler and supporter. Emmeline Pankhurst's father was a great supporter of female suffrage, you could conclude she was her father's daughter. History says men will exert their will, but is it always laced with misogyny, just because they criticise a female whose life's ambition is to have the opportunity to target and criticise males with impunity?.

no it is not always laced with misogyny. nor are women's attempts to gain some form of self determination and separate identity necessarily associated with hating men. i think you misunderstand feminism.
