Last few announcements (litigation failure etc) indicate COH is sloppy in relation to Governance. See this quote from its Reviseed Trading Policy: commencing at 10am on the Trading Day immediately following the day on which Cochlear announces its half year results of full year results to the ASX I know its only a typo that's not caught by any spell check but it shows that no one from their lawyers or compliance bothers to read their policies and announcements. Plenty of empirical evidence from numerous studies show that bad Governance is correlated to to low quality financial performance and bad future financial outcomes
