AS was looking to get that big bonus, that golden handshake, all by making Centro so big while under his "management". The strategy backfired but he still got a nice little bonus and left.

Had the world been different, he might still be at Centro and most SH's would think him a legend.

Its the illusion that counts in "the market", not reality. In reality his strategy was always going to come back and haunt LT SH's, unless of course, he was asvvy to what would eventually happen - in which case we would not have renewed his contract and he really would have got that monster golden handshake1
