Eagle, I am not talking about thousands of scientists that are not receiving funding from carbon producing companies that dispute climate change. I am not talking about scientists that have sold out to large corporations to give evidence to the contrary, as was the case with tobacco and asbestos experts.

You are labelling scientists that receive no financial gain as having less credibility than those that stand to receive enormous funding from governments for supporting governments climate change agenda. That is where the vested interest lies my friend.

As you say, "a consensus amongst world governments on the need to minimise carbon impact on the atmosphere" not a consensus of leading world scientists who are experts in their chosen field. I like the idea of believing the science rather than the politicians and the media.
