really interesting trading today; who would sell such a volume and who would buy such a volume
the seller I can understand if the frankings are not useable (ala, Southern.... was it you Southern, selling 5 mill shares?)
now the buyer... why would someone buy; there is always a chance the vote can fail; the only buyer would be one who can guarantee a yes vote and can use the frankings.... I think such an animal does not exist!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So, who was this buyer
I can only think of two possibilities (2 is not possible, is it)
1) a big holder buyer who wants to vote no and scuttle the deal
2) a big buyer who was going to vote no, but now is going to vote yes, so happy to make a quick HALF PERCENT???????????
3) a new big player????? is there going to be a new bid
So, as I have posted re some shares before, it will
a) go down (see 1 above) 1% chance
b) stay the same (see 2 above) 97% chance
c) go up (see 3 above) 2% chance
Just my opinion. Any input appreciated. I hate when I dont understand stuff.
