Every gold stock I own was smashed today, particularly MGV. It is basically in the same position it was in prior to its most recent announcement, which one would have to say is illogical based on what it announced. I have held GSN for a month or so now, and was hoping this announcement would provide some more breathing room to my buy-in price but feel that it may be a slow ascent. MGV has a habit of taking off the day of announcement, being pegged back in the next couple of days, and then gradual, then sharp rises following. This shows insto buying, as they generally proceed news with a tree shake and then accumulate. Bank of Nova Scotia is a major shareholder.

In terms of comparisons between MGV/GSN it is difficult, but MGV have had the best grades this year and their pit is shallow. In all likelihood MGV will be $1b MC before the year is out. GSN is following them at the moment, which is great as if they can aim to be 30-50% of MGV that is still massive gains. Based on today's announcement that is a realistic objective IMO.
