    NTTG,

Miles will probably never invest in property and that's OK, we don't all have the same investment plans.

My only frustration with Miles is that despite many, many years of incorrectly forecasting the great property crash he does not seem to be able to admit his erroneous forecasts of the past.

It goes to the heart of credibility.

If I was forecasting for as many years that (say) the price of Uranium would dive to a much lower figure and I was consistently proven wrong then I should disclose that to the readers. That way they can make an informed decision on whether to listen to me or not.

However if I loudly proclaim something, draw out all sorts of stats and charts to support my case, cut-down persons who disagree with me, call them delusional etc., I can put up a pretty good facade and probably convince a whole bunch of people of something.

Yeah, I think anyone who is beguiled by Miles and his words needs to read back to 2003 when he first started saying that the huge property crash would be upon us real soon (this is 2003 on Hotcopper, I am sure he has been saying it his whole life outside of Hotcopper) .

They need to read his forecasts in 2005 that Perth prices will crash, this was just before Perth prices went through the roof.

When readers are aware of Miles' track record they will view his posts in a different light and understand that his foreceful opinions are not the result of considered dispasionate analysis, far from it.

His loud forceful opinions are the result of idealogy, a belief system. It is a belief system that ignores history, ignores consistent incorrect forecasts, ignores any input which threatens the desired output.

When readers know his history then they can read his words and understand that it is not financial advice, it is entertainment and then they can enjoy his words in a harmless way.
