I have just seen this item on the BBC News site. It speaks of the enormous part coal plays in contributing to climate change. Moreso, how associated fuel sources pose even worse threats. Not entirely new topics but briefly put into sharp focus by reports from a current scientific symposium in the US.
Oddly, I saw no mention of hoped for benefits from "Clean Coal"??
Fortunately geothermal could help substantially here in Australia and I feel in the USA if they got really serious, but not all countries are so fortunate.
