Excellent advice from both of the above. Another more structured strategy that works for some is to set price targets and sell in increments. Some people prefer to have this to fall back on, as it removes the emotion from the decision. Similar to how some utilise dollar cost averaging (DCA) for buying during volatile periods. For example:
20% sold at short term target: ie $9.00
20% sold at medium term target ie $12.00
30% sold at long term target ie $18.00
The remainder is then left indefinitely.
