This is a diversified investment fund with exposure to a broad cross section of the market. The general expectation is that the ugly truth is going to start oozing out the reporting nozzle: think of a meat grinder as the shredded flesh starts to squirt through.
It's expected to be evident in the revenue/profit figures, but much more in the outlook statements. A similar thing happened with the banks today too.
