1. Every single big 4 bank has temporarily shut branches during the pandemic. I’m sure plenty won’t reopen which will help with cost cutting.
2. The banks financial performance has got nothing to do with whether your friend is happy lining up to deposit a cheque. Teller transactions cost the bank, as shareholders we should be wanting fewer teller transactions. Tell your friend to organise direct credits.
3. Bank staff don’t qualify for JobKeeper. Banks don’t qualify because their turnover is over $1 billion. If you’re going to be spit rubbish, at least try be accurate.
