I am reminded that at the peak of the Great Financial Crisis of 2007-2008, that paragon of market analysts, Lehman Bros CEO Fuld blamed shorters, and I do believe he said something to the effect 'shorters: burn in hell...".
The sin of shorters was to tell the world that Lehman's was worth squat, and to put their $ on the line to demonstrate their attachment to that belief. The shorters were right, of course.
So, if you think the shorters are wrong, buy a few more.
Personally, I'm quite sure the shorters are wrong in the long term, but in the short term, they may be right.
