re: what will be cnp share price next x'mas? Selmax,

I've read heaps of your posts over the last year on CNP thread, and all the ups and downs. Many of your posts during the year have been in the context of hopeful, long term belief that CNP will pull through.
During that time you were a long term believer.

Then, you pulled an 'all or nothing bet' buying up on that Friday before the 15th Dec, and talked about 'all bets are in' for the subsequent trading holt. Nervous times for the next few days for all of us, then, hey presto, the announcement was mad, big woosh, and you got out. BOS for sure.
At that time, you became a trader.

Just remember to separate long term holds for short term trades, and realise that many posters on here are either one or the other, rarely both.

The long termers like to believe in the future growth and return of dividends, and the traders mostly like to read about sentiment and gossip.

If you've now got your 'trading' hat on, you have to respect the long term believers and offer wisdom and information (good or bad) that will help them (and me!) in their plight.

    Cheers

BTW I now recognise that I am a 'medium' term holder, ie, pick an unloved sector and hold for a cycle.
Years ago I used to trade junk for a living. Go to auctions, buy stuff, sell again. Did it for years. Two items I used to buy and sell every six months that always paid my rent were heaters and fans. Yep, buy heaters in summer and sell them in winter, vica-versa for fans. I used to clean up. People in the auction on a hot summer day would look at me and ask why the hell I was buying all these heaters in 40 degree heat?!! I used to tell them 'so I can sell 'em back to you in 6 months time!'.
ATM I'm buying up in this sector because I believe it is massively oversold, even with next years re-vals yet to come through. Some trusts will go bust, some will pull through. Win some loose some, but overall a big win in 7 years time.
    Anyways, Merry Christmas.
