I for years thought that buying shares on a falling price was ok because your getting them cheaper, but in fact what sometimes your doing is proverbially catching the falling knife and I have done it to many times. Some of my other stocks I don't mind buying in an up cycle as apposed to a dip due its continuing up. A falling share price doesn't mean its cheaper due more times than not you are catching the falling knife. You have weathered the cycle, sometimes just staying put and letting it play out is not a bad strategy.
