Nothing being missed.
Myer's long term performance can best be described as poor.
The threat of growing infection round the country is doing more to keep Myer's price down than any other factor. A decent announcement today, but nothing that should make the future prospects for Myer bullish. The entire market is moving sideways. A 5% up swing from 19 odd to 20.5 cents is about right given the current climate.
the flow on effect of COVID will continue to hurt Myer in the future IMHO.
