Great post and congrats on keeping your job mate! Tough time!

It seems like we have a diversity of occupations here. I had nothing to do with the mining industry as well. I'm from a medical background, surgery to be specific. Only learn about investing from friends, books, youtube and especially HC. Started with a few Health stocks (which is within my zone of knowledge) but quickly sold and moved to Gold. My friend with years of experiences in the mining business pointed me to this gem. Then all the informative posters here helped me heaps in the decision of accumulating more and more.

Making money is not about sitting in our comfort zone but about understanding the market's trend and cycle. Go Gold!
