I have been in your shoes
With experience it is so much easier
IN simple terms, I created a set of parameters designed around buying and then selling
and no matter what was happenning I spent 1 month sticking to those paramenters
at the end of the month I assessed my results then made adjustments
    rinse and repeat many times
I am NOT an expert but I have learnt what worksd for me
NOT evrything has to be a day trade
NOT every thing has to be ST or LT
I dont believe in paper trading too much because that removes the pressure of losing
These days i generally achieve returns of 20% per week and hold about 8 stocks at the end of each week
amongst those I will generally have 2 canines
Interestingly 1/3 of those canines become mutlu baggers... the rest belong in the pound
The key is to set rules and stick to them

Good luck and I am happy to take all credit for your success and no blame for failures!!!
