I wouldn't get too tied up in the detail of one well.
STX now have two large oil and gas fields which are producing and proving up.
The Oil and Gas prices are showing the first signs of a rebound so STX will benefit from an increase in earnings. Furthermore, STX have made cost cuts and should be accumulating cash. $36 million is still a good annual income and this is on the way up.
I would not be at all surprised for the share price to double in the first 3 months of 2009.
