Thankyou for such a comprehensive description of where Sleepcheck is currently at - but although Sleepcheck is clinically approved it is still a screening tool for OSA competing against non clinical screening tools - my point is these tools give you a time sequence of when you stopped breathing and for how long - wouldn’t a GP find this information just as important noting we are only screening - The GP has to answer a questionnaire that the non clinical information can suffice - and then organise a HSAT
Would Sleepcheck be better serviced if it was a diagnostic tool as well - would this mean the GP would then recommend Sleepcheck Diagnostic in stead of HSAT , - Sleepcheck , is cheaper simpler and just as accurate method of testing
Would a GP or Specialist be involved in this process because presently for HSAT there is not
Rap management feel a diagnostic approach is not warranted - what are your thoughts
Presently the MBS does not recognise Sleepcheck - there doesn’t appear to be a code so what is involved to change this?
Sleepcheck is is an excellent new and exciting product but can it be better
