FWIW, ALL the biotech stocks, or most, were hit today; especially Covid related due to Puty Put’s “Sputnik vaccine”! Check out yesterday’s Covid du jour SRNE, OMER, MRNA (although they got very positive news a/h). Testing stocks, ppe stocks, etc. all weak today even before the market reversed.
We got gut punched and my spidey senses tell me it was started by the “anonymous” questioner(s) regarding our application. Once they got the snowball rolling downhill, it created the avalanche. Big pharma has lots to lose, but in the Age of Covid, I’d hate to be the fda that rejects any innovative treatment that just COULD be a vital therapeutic for the virus. They’d look more pathetic than usual.
Anyone here familiar with the SRPT saga? They had a treatment for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy that got denied for a variety of reasons, but mostly due to trial size, results not quantifiable. The very organized and vocal parents and advocates for the boys raised holy hell. They appeared before Congress, took to the media, both traditional and social, and long story short, the drug was approved. That was over a $100 a share ago. I bailed on the denial at $35. Moral of the story, it ain’t over til it’s over!
