welcome back. I wonder how that significant variation in covid 19 mortality we discussed last time for ventilated patients is going to work out.
Whilst we will have to judge the strength of their responses to the issues raised on Friday ..... what is certain is that if they can’t assuage the committee on some of these issues here I’d be concerned how these issues would play out if the ARDS trial shows more marginal results.
my view - I don’t think that the sept ARDS read out will result in the trial stopped due to overwhelming efficiency (due to a lesser difference in control mortality). That’s the first warning flag that the results may be more marginal than expected.
