Most of us who are over a particular age were racist at some point because that is the way it was. We all played British bulldog and all rhymed the Eeny, Meeny, Miny Moe chant (with the N word) to decide who's turn it was. Biden is of an even earlier generation.

Harris did not accuse Biden of being a racist but rather or turning a blind eye to racists. Biden should talk to this point, explain how he has moved on and how the country needs to reconcile (as he has). Whether he will or not is anyone's guess but we know from his talking points that the issue is on his agenda.

Regardless, most of this will be water off the duck's back as far as bargain basement voters are concerned. They will be more concerned about why Trump reduced or delayed their payments. Unlike Australia, there isn't much alternative welfare for these people to fall back on.
