I don't envy the extreme challenges that the Biden/Harris Administration will face.
Significant micro-economic and legal reform is absolutely necessary but even then it will take many years for the US to extract itself from the Trump Armageddon.
Harris holds a double undergrad degree with majors in politics and economics along with a JD legal degree. She will need to know her stuff and she will need to know how to guide colleagues and constituents through some pretty difficult policy decisions. If Harris doesn't succeed a smarter version of Trump may have a chance of winning power in 2024 and from there effective democracy in the US will likely cease.
Emptying Federal jails of minor offenders is the easy part. Getting states to agree will be hard and patchy. Promoting change in areas such as litigation and damages laws (torts) accross multiple layers of government and accoss industry will be much-much harder. We can but wait and see.
All of this would take time. There is no time and I'm not convinced that the Democrats are currently thinking outside the square (yet).
