Lawyers are paid to argue for or against a person's guilt or an issue in some other case. That is their job.
A local example is Richter opposing most of what Pell stood for but defending Pell because that was his job. Lawyers have a job to do and they do it. You may argue for a different type of judicial system if you like but countries such as the US, the UK, Canada, NZ and Australia have the historically inspired systems they have.
As a DA, Harris has argued many positions that she personally opposed because that was her JOB.
The left of the Democrats have a simple choice. They can vote for the Biden/Harris ticket or risk another Trump term. Which way do you think they will go?
