Warning - big data dump ahead.
Taking a very simplistic view there's only 2 companies that I would bother with, the rest don't pass the sniff test (disclaimer: I haven't researched in details the others as they don't pass my screener, however PNI seems like a good turnaround story post GFC). I'm sure in a 6 month horizon you could flip any of the others for a quick profit... however the compounding growth rate over 3+ years will dwarf any short term gains (MFGs investing ethos).
Whether AEF is currently cheap or expensive depends on your own investing principals, cost of capital/equity and the time-frame you assess it on - currently trading at FY20 PE53x however. Some long term charts/data can help determine the inputs to use
....Since 2007 when all companies have listed - comparing MFG v AEF v PNI v PAC (might be a little hard to see - PNI/PAC zero/negative growth)
