Nickel SP is up to $5.1512/lb (Kitco, $4.2297, $4.7166, $5.174 last three trading days), stock at LME has been flat (77,682, 77,682, 77,922 tons), ALB up 31% on open, 24% currently.
And that is hardly surprising considering the spike in Nickel and the levelling out of stocks. Clearly the mine closures are starting to bite. I think ALB will head toward $1.00 in the near term even if it settles lower long term as ALB will be one of the few Nickel produces left standing.
ALB, trading as ALD in London, was up 13.64% when last traded.
This could be a very interesting week :)
