What a biased and misleading article.
Australia needs all day and night energy that can't be consistently provided by renewables.
And much of the opposition to STO Narrabri project has come from (as one example) an MP who represents south of Sydney, hundreds of kilometres from northwest NSW's Narrabri.
I bet mainland China (and India) would give us very good reasons why both - the two economies with the highest populations - are heavily investing in coal fired generation.
