the $31/$32 barrier & bhp in london and the us

Although on light volume, it appears that the US and the rest of us want to start running in '09. We have this known barrier with BHP down under at around $31 - $32. Mean while the numbers for BHP, since Nov 20th to Jan 2nd, in the States and London appear very differently to Aus:

US: 93% gain

Lon: 87% gain

Aus 53% gain

If BHP in Aus were to follow the prices in London and the US, BHP in Aus would be around $38 (a gain of around 90% from Nov 20th).

Surely our BHP down under will bust through this barrier at $31/$32 and head for $38 or so within January, all things being equal and bullish?

On behalf of all the HC BHP followers, it would be great to hear from the more experience crowd. Charts, comments, my god anything would be greatly appreciated.
