Yes. This is not new and has been discussed before in much earlier threads..
Recce are well aware of this (of course) and if the patient meets the criteria and other antibiotics have failed for sepsis then recce may be given....
For all we know recce may have already done this and not reported on it yet. Its risky as the patient may already be in organ failure when recce is administered and if the patient then dies it may look like recce didnt work even though that's not really the case.
I would think they may be doing this in the background and will report if enough of a sample size is dosed..
