Maybe hightened geo-political tensions with Israel invading the Gaza strip, Gas cuts by Russia potentially affecting European interests, crap retail data from Marks and Spencers in the UK (interests rates tipped to be cut another 1% this week), 2 more UK retailers look likely to go bust, etc. etc. Plus the US rise came despite poor manufacturing data.
