In at 1.295, again. This substantial purchase has reduced my holdings down the 1.371. I'm very happy to own this company at this price.

The doom and gloom regarding the coal industry will have to keep it's pants on, or at least take a cold shower. Unless there is significant innovations, alien technologies, or magical wizards who are able to supplant coals usefulness coal will continue to be a vital product, not only for the generation of electricity, but a necessity for manufacturing.

In regards to manufacturing if any material ore is being mined then coal will have to be mined in lockstep, it's an unfortunate downside to our current progress as a civilisation we have not found a viable replacement.

After reading the annual results I may be eating my words, but as I see it now WHC is a supreme company and good at what they do, I have confidence in putting my money where my mouth is at this stage.
