Since paper gold peaked around US$1030 early last year we have seen lower highs and lower lows in paper gold.
Paper gold reached around US$925 in July and was then smashed. This time round paper gold has only made it to US$890 and is getting hit seriously so far tonight.

Remember, it was in the US$880s earlier today. Currently US$853, down about 3.5% which equates to a fall in gold stocks of around 15%. You can usually expect a 3 to 4 times leverage on the way down, though not necessarily on the way up.
