    In my view:

What happened can be understood in a very simple way by asking the right questions. To start with, based on what ISX has said, Visa has handed over some information to ASIC.

    So the first question is:
why did Visa hand over that information to ASIC?

So let's use our intellect to figure out why. I think there are only two logically plausible reasons:
    1. Visa has handed over the information out of their sense of morality/ethics. This I think is very unlikely.
    2.
ASIC utilised its official wide-reaching power as the regulator to compel Visa to hand over information, which are critical to its investigations.

I believe reason number two is the most likely. This to me indicates that ASIC's investigation into ISX is well advanced and very serious indeed.

Now, remember how ASIC had supplied information to the ASX, which in turn led to the suspension?

    Well according to ISX itself,
ASIC has passed on the information that it had received from Visa to the ASX.

    So the second question is:
why did ASIC pass on the information to the ASX?
