Still seems like a bit of a storm in a tea cup, given the discrepancies have only been produced by testing to EU standards that did not actually apply to the products in the regions they were manufactured in, or even the region the tests were being done in (HK).

You could argue that everyone should apply the most stringent standards that exist anywhere in the world, but if the difference in risk between EU and NZ approved levels of glycidyl is negligible then it is probably not really much of a concern.
