Any director appointment that I have ever been involved in is an appointment that will assist the company to an end.
In other words you ask the potential director "what can you bring to the table".
If the answer is... "i can bring finance contacts"....or... " I can lead you in the right direction on government tenders"... or "I come from a supply line that can work better for your company"... or " I have government knowlegde and know how things work".... etc etc etc.
Then an appointment is made.
Africano is a fabulous appointment if not even a coup.
If the HotCopper nomination is... "I can act as a go between with Shareholders"... in the current climate that is probably a good enough reason for an appointment.
Now..... who is the best go between.... who has the respect of current management and Hot Copper family.... I can think of one... and it would be in his interests (monetary) for CVI to succeed.
His name could be submitted and WOPULD BE accepted very quickly if the current nominations fail.
Would be applauded by all.... and we would all make some money.
