As you say these Reits are risky business.
I looked at Tishman Speyer before buying into the Reits, but wasnt too impressed with their management in the USA, and I think from memory they were very highly geared.
I have RNY GJT BEC at the moment and have an offer in for ABP (abacus)
Also have HFA (hedge fund) and BBI and sister BBP
I feel having a number of these is good insurance as some will sure to fail, gjt could be one, thats the risk I to take, for the potential reward
As for the amount owed by GJT increasing with the devaluation of the exchange rate between the $A and the yen I feel it still does not change the LTV ratio.
I see the substantial holder notice yesterday is by an entity that is in the banking sector in Japan so feel they must have a good handle on the sustainability of GTY.
I predict the sp of GJT to fall today with nk selling :)
