A question re the first 90 patients and the possible 45 treated and 45 placebo.
I am not certain but I think @ecoool2 said that as this is fully randomised trial we may not get 45 of each (ie could be 30:60)?
If this is what fully randomised means then (not being a statistician) unsure what nos. would constitute conclusive evidence of success?
If the trial is fully randomised we quite possible would not get 50:50 placebo to treated until all 300 have reached the 30 days and would this affect the decision to stop the trial?
Maybe someone more clued up on the trial structure could comment?
