Albuera Agreement with Carbon Planet seems to be mutually beneficial, i.e. they have a complementary business to INTs. It's just another channel to market for us - they scratch our back and we scratch theirs. The announcement says we have worked together at Bunnings and Penfold Mazda already, so this simply puts some formality around an existing niformal arrangement. It also gives us credibility with existing client base that we are not a one-trick pony, i.e. we can think beyond flogging them an Energy Management System and look holistically at their energy footprint.
From Carbon Planet's website.... "Carbon Planet offers a full-service suite of carbon assessment and management services, advising the business community on the many ways to tackle new issues,........"..... so they find something that needs fixing in the energy space and they point them at Utiligy/INT - sounds good to me.
Also "Although Carbon Planet is a full-spectrum carbon management company it keeps its focus, laser-like, on its core products and services....." ..... so they ain't going to move into the Energy Management space and eat our lunch.
At the moment, I would much rather see measured, tangible announcements for a few hundred $K here and there, rather than bull5%$t announcements about $5M worth of light bulbs.
Having said that, why release an announcement on Friday at 2:45PM, before the Monday that everyone comes back from annual leave - most people will miss it!!!
