Can't find a positive story around ECE at the moment, eh. Here's today's downer: https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/education/122538187/early-childhood-teachers-taking-out-loans-to-live-new-study-finds.
Wage pressure is still an issue, and it doesn't matter how big a player you are. This was only, "partially addressed when ECE teachers were given a pay-rise from July 1." Note too that private ECE lag in pay rates, "The low pay of teachers especially in private ECE centres and wage inequality between kindergarten and non-kindergarten services."
