You have to wonder what position bhp is in. You have just about every other major, regardless of its level of diversification reporting production cuts across the board, with companies like alcoa flagging there 3rd reduction cut in as many months. Then you also have staff cuts across the board. So my question is this, with bhp stating as little as three months ago that its still pushing ahead with its expansion plans what impact is this going to have on there bottom line? Surely there must be a major profit downgrade coming when you take into account there future projections and current levels of commodity prices??? Does anyone else think this or am I alone in my thoughts??
