If there is any nexus between the price of oil or other commodities and BHP share price, then I'm afraid I must be too blind to see it.
Oil was around $55 on November 21 when BHP (and share markets generally) bottomed at $20.
Since then, oil fell steadily to a low of $33 on December 19, and is now recovered to $40...
....While oil and copper were falling, BHP has been rising.
So, from November 21, oil went off 40% maximum....while BHP rose 65% maximum.
