I see the 'natural staff attrition' comment as benign for two reasons:
1) They've been flagging for a while that peak software R&D has (temporarily) passed, so naturally development headcount will come off a bit. 2) Part of the reason software companies have shifted delivering solutions from on-premise (desktop), to remote (cloud/SaaS), is because in delivering the service remotely it saves on staff costs - instead of having to maintain a workforce that visits the client offices to deliver the service, do upgrades etc., it's done remotely hence reduced cost. The staff at RPM whose job it was to deliver & maintain on-premise / desktop software solutions would, naturally, have a bit less to do these days.
