I was talking to acouple off mates over the weekend who are PEM employees and I cant help but feel that PEM management are brain washing them. They honestly beleive that if the chinese deal goes through that everything will be rosey and they will keep their jobs. The writing is on the wall the broken Hill operation is loosing money fast and needed the 10 million deposit from the chinese just to get them through until the deal goes through. I hate to say it but weather cbh or the Chinese get pem , somthing has to give and more job losses are eminant. why would the chinese pay 45 million for control of a company that is burning cash fast and then not change anything and watch the whole thing crash and burn. I know alot of pem employees are on hc and im sorry if you cant see it but I just hope if everything does go belly up that pem can still aford to pay employees entitlements.
