Yeh it's fine to think about options in that sense but only if the price to exercise is very likely to be less than stock price.
For example NZS options are 3c 2.75c to exercise and current stock price is 6c.
The MGT options are a much great risk as unless MGT iple in 7 months they are absolutely worthless.
