Odd post by Biotechinvestor...... I've tried to answer some of his questions.
Q. "Where is the deal?"
Umm, that's what everyone is talking about. AVexa say it is coming and that the funding from the GL merger is needed to provide leverage to get the best deal.
Q."The BODs of AVX could keep saying that since they are still get paid well."
Not quite sure what to say to that - are you suggesting that we should never listen to Directors who get paid?
Q."If AVX could not convice the PGL shareholders with the great DCF (discount cash flow) or NPV (net present value) of its ATC Project, how could they possibly convince the big pharma?"
Well, the issues are completely different. I doubt Big Pharma is too interested in arguments about the great DCF (discount cash flow) or NPV (net present value). They're probably more interested in whether the drug works and how big the market for it will be.
Q."Don't you understand the best time to get the maximum value for ATC had gone since AVX is runing out of cash and can not complete its phase III trials without extra cah, such as PGL's."
Yes, which is why it is merging with PGL - to get the cash.
Q."ATC will be only a second-line HIV-drug and only the big pharma which has already the first-line ones would interest."
Not quite sure of that logic. Are you suggesting only those companies that make headache tables are interested in developing migraine treatments? Furthermore, it is the very fact that ATC is a second line drug that makes it potentially attractive. The first line drugs is where the over-crowding is.
Q. "They could afford to wait until the results of 24-w completed with the positive and then they would start to consider AVX's."
Well , they could do that if there was only one company interested. But to wait risks another company coming in and making the deal under their noses.
Q. "And AVX would be already dead if they are not going to get PGL's cash."
But it seems they are getting the cash.
