It should just take all of the money ... if it needed $2b and then another $100m in an SPP what's the difference in an extra $50-$100m. With the current financial turmoil and their nose for a good deal I'm sure they could use the money very productively and keep their loyal Mum and Dad shareholders even happier.
I owned 600 shares prior to SPP and fully subscribed to $5000 worth ... think I may be lucky to get $2000 worth. Also as a Kiwi investor I had to buy the A$5000 at .8176 vs the NZ$ so at current .8475 I will also lose on converting any A$ I receive back to NZD ... plus the banks commission. Even at $20.50 the whole exercise will hardly have been worth it !!
Great company still ... just could've managed this a little better.
