speaking of the rest of the world, I thought I would check out the NYT Covid treatment tracker to see if it had improved - NotBL

    https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2020/science/coronavirus-drugs-treatments.html?referringSource=articleShare

to be a little more precise
you have to track all the way down to the bottom to just above prone positioning for ventilation (which is an excellent place to be) and don’t drink disinfectant (not so much) to get to Stem Cell Therapies

to read about stem cells, you then find out that the take home message is that there is close to zero expectation of anything good coming out of that field for Covid.

If you the follow the the link to their stem cell summary article it is mostly about ten years of ARDS research, with no mention of MSB in the 2020 comments although plenty of ATHX, sorry ATHX guys, all negative.
    Repeat, All negative.

If you follow the link to the NYT references from clinical trials.com, which I have followed in the past, for the life of me, this time, I CANNOT find the MSB trial, not even the phase 3, which if you go back to one of my HC posts I did find previously.

Now that is very interesting, because it occurs to me that it is possible that they have dropped the MBS trial because it no longer suits their negative narrative of MSC trials - even though it has not yet reported!!!!!!

in any case, this is only conjecture on my part,
the point I wanted to make is that they just may have to change this article very soon, like by the end of September/October if not sooner?????? According to their tracker they would then have to rank stem cells in their successful category!!

    Looking forward to that!!!!!
it does make interesting reading because there are a lot of failed knives to the gun battle on the list (if you can trust anything on the list, but I have read the primary scientific reports for a lot of those so I do trust them).
Also, at the top if you toggle to their tracker of the vaccine watcher their current vaccine explainer today is quite interesting too

but OMG might they have egg on their face soon for taking MSB off the list - and this is an international list AND the MSB trial is a phase3 NIH trial in any case!!!!

    HMMMMM

the other serious issue is that this might show how so many people really expect the phase 3 to fail because
    i) they don’t think that MSCs will work, or
ii) they just are not aware of their potential
iii) they really don’t want them to work because pharma are worried about losing market share
iv) not on their radar and therefore such a way to go for mainstream to come on board

interestingly if you look at this list, you will see 50 trials of MSCs in COVID of various types and so the NYT are doing a community service trying to prevent people going off to untrusted sources of stem cells, at least to those off trial who might be charging a lot of money. We heard the FDA introduction to the ODAC meeting, essentially about charlatans who couldn’t be kept in quality control, so keeping the lid on it till there is an approved product is important.

Maybe that is why MSB was taken off the negative NYT list???????
To dissociate MSB from the negative connotations and so that MSB couldn’t sue the NYT??

    IMO of course
great job this morning from Si
