With over 99% survival rate? Seriously, for people below 65 in good health, they are almost guaranteed survival. What is the social cost? Suicides?
Surely a focus on old aged residence is the answer? I'm not going to get into whether some of the aged would have died anyway, but it is that end of life that is threatened. Tighter controls, in that area, would have worked. How can a healthy child attending school affect a 90 year old in a protected aged care residence? A child is more likely to die falling of their bike on the way to school than they are from a covid-19 infection.
As it is, there are parts of Victoria on stage 3 which have no cases at all. It is ridiculous!
