I have had the same feeling for some time now. The effect though is to substantially reduce the number of shares available for trade.A relatively small volume traded can rapidly change the SP. My estimate is only around 12M shares were traded to raise the SP from 77 to present level.
Like you I am a long term holder and mine are not for sale.
